Even though they were in the captain's quarters, alone, the first officer held his dignity around him like a cloak. Nevertheless, the time for confrontation had come and he could not avoid it. "I'm sorry, Spock. I'm probably making it harder for you than it has to be. I--" "We both know what is happening. I cannot explain it. But I see the way you look at me--" "Yes, it's unmistakable." Kirk's expression softened a bit. "Come here." Their hands met, with an tiny jolt of electricity. "I think I must have picked up a static charge from the carpet," Spock murmured. "Perhaps we should discuss this with the mutual object of our affections." "Yes, you're right. Logical as always." Kirk paged the doctor to his quarters. Soon the announcer sounded. Kirk rushed to the door, with Spock close behind. It was the doctor. 5'10'' of feminine perfection--stunning blond hair, piercing blue eyes, full lips and the slightest dimple on her chin. Her uniform hugged her perfect curves and bared her perfect, muscular yet curvaceous legs. For a second the command team of the Enterprise could do nothing more than stare dumbly and drool. Doctor Annika Lindh smiled, finally taking pity on them. "Anything I can do for you, boys?" Fin
