[Make that August '02. I made a stupid Japanese grammar error. -- HK] Pairing: (K/S, but you can only see that in the drawing) Series: (TOS, ditto) Rating: NR This haiku appears on a drawing I did called Bishounen no K/S. It depicts Kirk and Spock as anime "bishounen" (beautiful young men), and is in animesque style. The original Japanese is in kanji and hiragana, but obviously I can only do roomaji in ASCII. ~@~@~@~@~@ Japanese (Nihongo) Version: Matsu shita de Anata ni atta Tsuki o mi ni English Version: Beneath the pine tree I met you, my dear lover To look at the moon German (Deutsch) Version: Unten der Kiefer Traf ich dich, mein Liebling, um Den Mond anzusehen ~@~@~@~@~@ Original English Commentary (3/13/02): --- In KirkLovesSpockFic@y..., "Liz Woledge" wrote: > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KirkLovesSpockFic/files/ks-bish.jpg > > (Kirk and Spock as anime's "beautiful boys") > > > cute what do the words say? LoL Yeah. I showed it to a couple of friends and they laughed (they're all anime fans). Anyway, here's what it says transcribed in roumaji (roman letters): (on the right) bishounen-no KEE-ESHI =K/S as beautiful boys (on the left) matsumoto-ni <--this is bad Japanese & will be fixed later anata-ni atta tsuki-o mi-ni =Beneath the pine tree I met you, my dear lover To look at the moon It's my first attempt at haiku in Japanese. I kind of crossed genres because haiku are really supposed to be nature poems, and I stuck "anata" in there. Oh well. I'm proud of the kanji spelling, though. I looked up some obscure kanji for "anata" and found one which is specifically male. Hee hee.
