Nemesis: Color By Numbers

Nemesis By The Numbers

We all know that Nemesis was written by an ostensible TNG fan and drew on the Classic Trek movies as inspiration. I thought it would be interesting to look at how that works out, movie by movie:

STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE -- weapon of incredible power poised to wipe out all life on Earth. CHECK!

STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN -- beloved major character nobly sacrifices self to save the ship and its crew from supervillian. CHECK!

STAR TREK III: THE SEARCH FOR SPOCK -- beloved major character brought back to life, although not quite in working order. CHECK!

STAR TREK IV: THE VOYAGE HOME -- gentle, humanistic movie with a wide general audience appeal. Uh . . . I seem to have lost my pencil.

STAR TREK V: THE FINAL FRONTIER -- beloved major character meets long-lost brother whom no-one's ever heard of before (B4, get it?). Now we're talkin'. CHECK!

STAR TREK VI: THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY -- theme of detante between Federation and one of their major adversaries. CHECK!

Well, that was fun!
